74-78 Avon Street, where Motion Events Ltd is currently a tenant is for sale, following the expiry of the current lease in July 2025. The property is being offered for sale because the company that owns it is neither a property developer nor a serial landlord.
The owners has been liaising with Motion Events Ltd on future plans for the site since 2019 and the club owners have been given the opportunity to put an offer forward for the building, along with other interested parties as part of the marketing process.

Since being used for the production of town gas, 74-78 Avon Street has had a wide range of purposes, including the manufacture of architectural precast concrete wall cladding panels, the dismantling of motor vehicles, the storage and valeting of cars, the distribution of roofing materials and even the hydroponic growth of plants. One of the property’s three main bays was set out with ramps for local BMX and skateboard enthusiasts, which then morphed from “SK8&Ride” into a music venue that subsequently expanded and become the Motion nightclub, as presently managed by Motion Events Ltd.
